San Leandro ALE to Benefit ELF

The San Leandro ALE team and partners have committed to making a sizable donation to a Bay Area community service project called; Operation Elf. Operation ELF is an annual event that provides human kindness, holiday spirit, food, gifts and necessities for families in need, who live in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.

According to ALE event leader Howard LaGarde, "One of the great joys of this event is we will donate a significant amount of money to a local charitable project called OPERATION ELF. "Elf" is an annual Holiday project where dozens of men, women and children get together and select needy families in the region and then see to it that holiday gifts of food, clothing, toys, tools or whatever, are acquired, giftwrapped and personally-delivered, sometimes with Christmas decorations, to the homes, with great heart and deeply personal engagement. This, of course embodies very well the ultimate purpose of the ALE- - -falling in love with (and actively loving) the species."

Use of the venue is being donated by Peterson Tractor, one of the largest Caterpillar Tractor Distributors in the nation, to support our event and our donation to Operation Elf. The location is in San Leandro, just a couple miles from the Oakland International Airport. There is lodging and every other necessity close-by the site.
